“Doodling in Class”
Miss Napier angrily snapped her chalk in half effectively silencing Class 3B.
Striding over to my desk she snatched a paper off my desk.
She towered like an angry Goddess over me as I shrunk down in my seat.
“Charlie Bucklin – what are these scribbles?”
“Uh, notes?”
“They look like doodles on your paper!”
“Gulp…Well my notes are…ahh…in code.”
“HAH! Have you been paying attention?!”
“Yes, Mam!!!”
“What did I just say? Read from your notes.”
“Ummh… I squinted at my paper. “The Country of Bolivia is known for its exportation of tin.”
Miss Napier smiled.
“Very Good, Charles.”
Satisfied I wasn’t screwing off – Miss Napier returned to her desk.
And I went back to drawing pictures of Spiderman.
